A chronology and image documentary of the evolution of an idea, a dream, and a vision that turned a used tire ( a bunch of them) into a living space that alludes to historic and cultural considerations through shared experiences.
It's Jade from Auberge des Battures. Great website! Thanks for sharing your blog with me; I've forwarded it on to a couple of friends. Last week, I visited Le Greb (Groupe de Recherche Écologique de La Baie) - an experimental ecovillage in La Baie. Did you get a chance to visit them while you were here? They're currently in the midst of building a strawbale house using the 'GREB' technique -- which uses a mix of sand, sawdust, and cement to pour on the strawbales. They say that this technique is more time efficient and appropriate for local building conditions. I'd recommend checking out their site : www.greb.ca
